BrauBeviale 2018: Robust drives

When producing beer and other alcoholic-based beverages, the highest hygiene standards must be met.

The outstanding anti-corrosion protection gives the surface of aluminum housings a corrosion resistance similar to that of stainless steel. The washdown-optimized surfaces are easy to clean and largely resistant to acids and alkalis. It is even possible to use high-pressure cleaners or a great variety of aggressive media. This is achieved with a protective layer which is permanently bonded to the substrate material and will not detach or flake off, unlike painting or coating. Damage remains locally restricted and does not spread. The nsd tupH surface treatment is available for almost all NORD products made from aluminum, such as gear units, smooth surface motors, frequency inverters, and motor starters.

For its customers, NORD develops customized drive concepts for beverage container conveying. Visitors can bear witness to that by means of a functional model at BrauBeviale: A bottle conveyor line is exhibited as a standard-solution and also as a wash-down version which is entirely finished with nsd tupH.
