Anyone who learns and lives at NORD is a part of the NORD family and is actively involved in projects and decisions. The 16 apprentices and dual students which the drive specialist welcomed as new colleagues in 2018 have now experienced this for themselves. Newcomers can expect a familiar atmosphere and a comprehensive feedback culture. They can also take on responsibility from an early stage. There is a great emphasis on interdisciplinary communication.

NORD has changed its selection procedure and was able to fill all of the posts for apprentices and students long before the start of training. The greatest interest was in industrial engineering for trainee business managers. In contrast, for technical commercial areas, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable trainees. Increasing academisation presents a challenge. "The apprenticeship is already very attractive with regard to payment, level of training and international perspectives. However, you often hear that someone is "only" an apprentice", says Felix Zahn, Training Manager. "That is a pity because an apprenticeship with all of its various facets has a great deal to offer. The opportunities for further training after an apprenticeship are highly varied and must be advertised more."

NORD only trains for its own requirements.

The 16 new apprentices and dual students are distributed over a total of nine different training and study courses.
