Easy-to-clean and corrosion-resistant drive technology from NORD
At the drinktec trade fair, in Munich from 11 to 15 September 2017, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will present drive solutions designed for washdown cleaning as well as beverage industry-specific solutions.

At stand 242 in hall A3, NORD will present a wide range of drive systems with corrosion-resistant smooth motors, frequency inverters, motor starters and drives in cast aluminium housings optimised for washdown cleaning.
For aluminium drives that are used in the food and beverage industry NORD provides its nsd tupH anti-corrosion treatment. When compared with drives made from stainless steel or painted models, this procedure leads to significant cost reductions. In contrast to common coating procedures, the material is hardened to a depth well below the surface so that flaking is prevented. The drives can easily withstand high pressure steam washing as well as contact with aggressive media.
Fanless smooth motors prevent the spread of germs. They are available as synchronous and asynchronous motors and fulfil efficiency classes IE2, IE3 (asynchronous) and IE4 (synchronous).
