For corrosion protection of aluminium drives that are used in the food industry, NORD provides its nsd tupH surface treatment. Compared to stainless steel and painted models, this treatment leads to significant cost reductions – both in purchase and operation. With this method, the aluminium surface is hardened and due to the surface characteristics the sealer adheres to it perfectly. As a result, the drive is resistant against many acids and alkalis used in the food and beverage industry.

NORDBLOC.1 performance-optimised 2-stage helical bevel gear units from NORD are made as washdown versions with corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy housings. In combination with a smooth surface motor, the gear units are particularly easy to clean. New from NORD: The smallest size for output torques of up to 50 Nm and speed ratios from 3.58 to 61.88.
