In the financial year 2016, the 3,300 NORD employees worldwide generated a total turnover of 560 million Euro. This good result is based on dedicated, qualified employees, good service and many successfully concluded projects. NORD was represented at 66 exhibitions throughout the world and presented innovations such as the new NORDAC LINK field distributor. This supplements the range of modules for drive technology system solutions with a further decentralised frequency inverter for intralogistic applications. Innovations such as the NORDAC LINK underline NORD’s claim as a solution provider.

With continuous investment in future-oriented production processes, the company has set the course for success in the years to come. NORD DRIVESYSTEMS is on the way to Industry 4.0, a topic which is also at the top of the agenda for users of NORD drive technology. NORD drive units are networked, autonomous and scalable - and are already prepared for digitalisation tasks such as condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. With the aid of the integrated PLC, the drive electronics can perform many tasks completely autonomously.
