Frequency inverters, motor starters and field distributors

  • Check the mains voltage and if necessary the control voltage (depending on the frequency inverter type).
  • If necessary return the frequency inverter to the manufacturer for testing.

  • Determine the cause of the switch on block via parameter (P700[3]) and the manual.

  • Set automatic starting in P428 to "On", note the information in the manual.

  • Check the motor data and match them with those on the type plate as necessary.
  • Check the motor and the motor cable.
  • Reduce the load.
  • Check the precise error message via P700[1] and use the further remedial measures in the manual.
  • If necessary return the frequency inverter to the manufacturer for testing.

  • Check the load and speed, if necessary allow the motor to cool down or use an external fan.
  • Check the thermistor resistance (TF≈200Ω/20C) and the connection.
  • Bridge the thermistor input if it is not used.

  • Increase the ramp time in P103.
  • Use the V/f characteristic curve by setting parameters P211/212 to 0%.
  • Use a suitable brake resistor.
  • If necessary, adapt P217 (e.g. 200%).

  • Determine the error code from the flashing code of the DS LED or read it out from P700. Then determine the suitable remedial measure from the manual.

  • Check the input voltage, one phase may be missing.

  • Check the encoder connection and the direction of rotation via P735; change P301 as necessary.

  • Check the BUS telegram from the external PLC.
