Drive solutions for process technology - NORD DRIVESYSTEMS at ACHEMA 2018

Whether in the chemical, pharmaceutical or food industries: Flammable gases and dust in processing industries create serious safety risks for people and machines. Explosion protected drive solutions are the focus of NORD at ACHEMA from 11 to 15 June 2018. This includes dust or gas explosion protected motors, gear units, as well as electronic drive technology for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.

Among other things, the company will present the particularly rugged, decentralised frequency inverter SK 180 E - NORDAC BASE with protection class IP69K, in Frankfurt am Main. The frequency inverters are, for instance, used in the packaging and food industry, as well as for conveying and pumping applications.

Additionally, NORD brings explosion protected drives for pump applications. The drive systems, consisting of the gear unit, motor and frequency inverter, form master-slave groups which communicate intelligently with each other and thereby monitor or control the complete system.

Aluminium drives with our nsd tupH anti-corrosion treatment offer a corrosion resistant surface similar to that of stainless steel and industrial gear units for heavy duty applications in a UNICASE complement the range of products from the North German manufacturer.
